2026 Q4 Grant Recommendation and Distribution Request Deadlines

As we head into the busy season, we want to share the key dates for year-end grantmaking and distribution requests. December is our busiest time for grants, and we anticipate another high volume this year.

For Our Donor Advised Fundholders

If it’s important for you or your grant recipients that checks are mailed this year, we encourage you to submit your recommendations as early as possible. If exact timing isn’t important, you’re welcome to submit recommendations at your convenience.

Grant payments are typically mailed within two weeks of the submission deadline. The remaining grant recommendation deadlines for 2026 are at 12pm on the following dates:

  • November 6
  • November 20
  • December 1
  • December 11

To ensure that your grant recommendations are processed and mailed in 2026, submit them by December 11. Grant recommendations submitted after this deadline will continue to be processed by VCF but may not be received by the grantee before the end of the year. If you have an urgent grant recommendation that needs expedited processing, please contact your philanthropic advisor.

The first grant deadline of the new year is January 1, 2027.

For Our Nonprofit Fundholders

Please plan ahead for any distributions needed from your fund. Here are the distribution request deadlines for the remainder of 2026:

  • November 6, 12 pm will be mailed the week of November 16
  • Final Deadline for 2026: November 20 will be mailed the week of November 30

Distribution requests received after November 20 will be processed in early 2027. You can now submit your distribution request through the VCF Portal or using a Distribution Request Form.
