Pioneering Mission Investing

In 2001, recognizing the potential of local investments to enhance community health and vibrancy, VCF began allocating 5% of its assets to Vermont-based companies and organizations. This pioneering approach, known as mission or impact investing, has gained widespread interest. VCF’s leadership in this area led to the development of the Community Foundation Field Guide to Impact Investing (linked below)... an>, which is now a resource for community foundations nationwide.

Our Investment Committee

The Vermont Community Foundation continually reviews its asset allocation strategy and manager selection. Our key to long-term success includes a combination of highly skilled investment managers and a strong, intelligent discipline with regard to asset allocation.
