From its legacy in marble, railroads, and agriculture to today’s outdoor recreation economy, vibrant local food scene, and growing arts and innovation sectors, Rutland continues to evolve while staying rooted in place.
In 2024, the Vermont Community Foundation supported the region with nearly $1.3 million, the majority came from donor advised fundholders whose giving supported youth, healthcare, education, food security, and recreation—fueling a resilient and connected future for Rutland County.
