Addison Community Athletics Foundation

Addison Community Athletics Foundation (ACAF) is a supporting organization of the Vermont Community Foundation. It was established in 2012 to promote athletics and healthful behaviors throughout the region by supporting tennis and other health education programs for youth and adults.

ACAF's mission also complements the Vermont Community Foundation’s commitment to building philanthropic resources that will sustain healthy and vital Vermont communities now and into the future. ACAF owns and operates Middlebury Indoor Tennis where many youth, adult and school tennis programs take place throughout the year. Since starting outreach efforts, ACAF has partnered with many schools and local organizations to continue to bring access to the sport of tennis to Addison County.

No gifts to The Vermont Community Foundation shall directly or indirectly subject the Vermont Community Foundation to a prohibited material restriction as defined by federal law. All gifts are subject to a federally required amendment or variance power that permits the Vermont Community Foundation to vary from the terms and conditions of agreements with donors relative to the purpose, investment, and management of its funds subject to the procedural requirements of Vermont state law. In practice, the Foundation uses this variance power rarely and only if the needs of the community have shifted. The Foundation will be in communication with donors should such a shift occur.
