VCF is a dynamic work environment. We are a team of great problem solvers. Here’s a glimpse into what a day might look like for staff in our different roles:
The Grants & Community Impact team may start their day by reviewing ongoing projects and strategic initiatives, visiting local nonprofits to learn about community needs and discuss partnership opportunities, or processing new grant applications. This team is key to implementing strategies that address pressing community issues, from affordable housing to environmental sustainability.
The Philanthropy team focuses on building relationships with donors and fundholders. Their day might include meetings with fundholders and potential fundholders to discuss philanthropic goals, organizing donor events, and preparing reports on the impact of donor contributions. They play a key role in inspiring giving and connecting donors with causes they care about.
The Finance team manages the Foundation’s financial health. Their daily tasks include general accounting, fund accounting, monitoring investment portfolios, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
The Marketing & Communications team is filled with creativity and building awareness of our fundholders’ impact across the state—through campaigns, newsletters, this very website, and more!
The Operations team manages human resources, office logistics, and all technology platforms. Their day might include fielding data requests, organizing and hosting team meetings, or troubleshooting any operational issues that arise.

Related to our CIGNA Health Insurance coverage, the Transparency in Coverage Rule require non-grandfathered group health plans and health insurance issuers offering non-grandfathered coverage in the group and individual markets to disclose on a public website information regarding in-network provider rates for covered items and services, out of network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services, and negotiated rates and historical net prices for covered prescription drugs in three separate machine-readable files. This link leads to the machine readable files that are made available in response to this Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to easily access and analyze data.
