The Vermont Women’s Fund Announces Its Annual Celebration Featuring Reshma Saujani and Myra Flynn

Celebrate 30 years of the Vermont Women’s Fund on Tuesday, September 30th!

Celebrate 30 years of the Vermont Women’s Fund as we welcome Reshma Saujani and Myra Flynn to The Flynn’s stage!

The Vermont Women’s Fund (VWF) will host its Annual Celebration on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at The Flynn in Burlington. The evening will feature a keynote by author and activist Reshma Saujani, along with a special performance by Vermont-born singer-songwriter Myra Flynn. Lobby doors open at 4:30 p.m. for a pre-show reception, with the program beginning at 5:30 p.m. Additional event details are available here.

The annual event will highlight grantmaking, strategic partnerships, and a new data report on the status of Vermont’s women and girls. Special guests will include VWF grantees and middle and high-school-aged program participants.

“We are thrilled to bring together our grantees, supporters, and advocates working toward change for our communities,” says Emily Bush, director of the Vermont Women’s Fund. “In 2025, we see an unprecedented need, with a 33% increase in grant applications. To meet this movement, we will rely on our long-standing donors and sponsors, as well as new connections at events like these, to fuel our work.”

This year’s celebration will mark the beginning of the Women’s Fund’s fourth decade of service. Jane Lindholm, executive producer and creator of the nationally aired series But Why: A Podcast for Curious Kids, will emcee the event and moderate the discussion. Featured speaker Reshma Saujani is the founder of Girls Who Code, Moms First, the new podcast My So-Called Midlife, and author of Brave, Not Perfect and Pay Up. “Ms. Saujani drives systemic changes that we endeavor to see in our state,” explains Bush. “We align in our efforts to close the gender gap and promote economic prosperity for women and girls. Her concepts on teaching girls bravery, not perfection, also resonate with our goal of empowering women to be self-sufficient and to step into meaningful careers and leadership roles.”

Tickets for the event are available exclusively through The Flynn box office.
