A New & Improved Donor Portal is Coming!

We’re thrilled to upgrade our VCF software systems to better serve you—bringing together accounting, grantmaking, fund management, and donor services into an integrated platform. These improvements will streamline operations, reduce manual tasks, and enhance our ability to serve you—so together we can make a greater impact on the issues that matter.

We’re dedicated to making this transition as smooth as possible and working hard to minimize disruption to you, our fundholders. However, there will be a pause period for grantmaking and a brief period when online access to your fund information is temporarily unavailable. This is necessary so we can transfer data to the new portal.

Key Dates – What to Expect

• Last Day for March Grant Recommendations & Distribution Requests: March 3
  If you’d like your grant recommendation (donor advised funds) or distribution request (nonprofit funds) mailed by March 13, be sure to submit them by March 3. After this date, DonorCentral users will still have access to fund information, but donor advised fundholders will not be able to submit online grant recommendations. Any grant recommendations and distribution requests after March 3 will be processed in April.
• DonorCentral Read-Only Access: March 3 – April 4
  After March 3, you will still be able to access historical fund data in DonorCentral for transactions that took place prior to March 3. You can continue making gifts or adding to your fund during this period, but your DonorCentral fund balance may not reflect the most recent activity.
• DonorCentral Access Ends: April 4
  At 5:00 p.m. on April 4, DonorCentral will officially close. After this, you’ll no longer be able to log in—but don’t worry! A brand-new portal experience is on the way.
• Launch of the New VCF Donor Portal: Week of April 7
  We’re excited to welcome you to the new and improved portal! Ahead of the launch, we’ll send step-by-step instructions and video tutorials to help you log in and explore all the features with ease. On launch day, you’ll receive an automated email with your login link.
• First Grant Recommendation and Distribution Request Deadline in the New Portal: April 21
  Submit your recommendations/requests by April 21 for mailing on May 1. Need a hand navigating the new portal? Video tutorials will be available to guide you through the process. This will include how to submit grant recommendations, and a how-to on a new feature for our nonprofit fundholders—the ability to submit distribution requests online!

What You Need to Do

• Not Planning to Use DonorCentral Before April?
  No action needed! If you are not planning to submit a grant recommendation or distribution request before April, you can sit back and wait for the new portal launch.
• Have grant recommendations or distribution requests you would like mailed before May 1?
  Be sure to get them in by March 3 so they can be processed before the transition.
• Want to review historical fund information in DonorCentral?
  All of your historical information will be brought over to the new portal. However, if you would like to review it before DonorCentral is deactivated, log in before April 4 at 5:00 p.m. to access your records.

• Haven’t logged into DonorCentral for a while?
  You may need to reset your password before accessing DonorCentral. If prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you can skip this for 30 days. Learn more here.
